All’esercitazione ha partecipato il Centro di Eccellenza Aeromobili a Pilotaggio Remoto di Amendola che ha supportato l’attività simulando l’uso malevolo di un drone E’ terminata giovedì 10 giugno 2021 l’attività addestrativa del 15° Stormo di Cervia (RA) rivolta alla gestione ed al contrasto del sorvolo non autorizzato di assetti aerei a pilotaggio remoto, noti con l’acronimo U.A.S. (Unmanned Aerial System) che ha interessato tutto il Reparto per la durata di quattro giorni.Il15° Stormoha il compito di recuperare gli equipaggi in difficoltà in tempo di pace (S.A.R. – Ricerca e soccorso), in tempo di crisi ed in operazioni fuori dai confini nazionali (C/S.A.R. – Combat S.A.R.), nonché di concorrere, in caso di gravi calamità, ad attività di pubblica utilità quali laricerca di dispersiin mare o in montagna, iltrasporto sanitario d’urgenzadi ammalati in pericolo di vita e in modalità dibiocontenimento, il soccorso di traumatizzati gravi e il supporto all’attività di antincendio boschivo. Dalla sua costituzione ad oggi, gli equipaggi del 15° Stormo hanno salvato circa 7300 persone in pericolo di vita.
