NATO Air Policing, Romania: due scramble per i Typhoon italiani

Per due volte gli Eurofighter 2000 della Task Force Air Black Storm sono stati attivati su ordine del CAOC di Torrejon, responsabile per il controllo dello spazio aereo della Romania.
L’ordine di scramble, termine tecnico per indicare la richiesta di un decollo rapido, è stato dato a seguito di un ingresso all’interno della FIR (Flight Information Region), lo spazio aereo sotto la responsabilità degli enti di controllo rumeno, di traffico aereo non autorizzato.
I velivoli italiani della cellula di QRA (Quick Reaction Alert), in continuo coordinamento con il CRC (Centro Riporto e Controllo) di Otopeni, hanno continuato a monitorare il traffico aereo rimanendo nell’area di loro competenza prima di rientrare presso l’aeroporto di Mihail Kogalniceanu.
