After 70 years of presence in the world of printed paper, since July 25th the Journal of Aeronautical Meteorology has entered the world of the web. Since its first issue, on July 1st 1937, it has always been present with continuity, with the exception of the period of the war 1943-1948, as an irreplaceable information tool for the national meteorological community and a valid platform for comparison for all operators in the sector. For 70 years, many authors have contributed to the development of the publication, divided into seven series and led by 15 Responsible Directors, the last of whom, Brigadier General Costante De Simone, left the position with the last issue published. Brigadier General Vincenzo Cundari succeeds him, who has the honor and responsibility of starting a new phase of the magazine, which, on the one hand, will maintain its characteristic of a scientific-technical-informative organ of the meteorological world, while on the other hand, it will acquire flexibility and dynamism thanks to the characteristics of the network. It is no coincidence that the main daily newspapers are increasingly present in their online version, both for the versatility and immediacy of the tool and for the ability to reach a large number of readers in real time. The website is open to all improvements and new features that the passionate cybernauts of meteorology, whom we hope will be numerous, will want to suggest: not only experts from the Service, but also those who already work in various industrial and non-industrial realities where meteorological science is the main actor, as has already happened especially in the last year. This will help make the Magazine more participatory and interesting. As we wrote in the last issue of 2010, it was not a goodbye, but a see you again; a whole new experience to be discovered by connecting to the address www.aeronautica.difesa.it/RivistaMeteo
