“In the defence world, cooperating means multiplying forces: where the power of one ends Single State, the added value of each of us begins. With these words, the General D.A. Filippo Quagliato, Head of the 3rd Department of the Air Force Staff (SMA), welcomed foreign Military Attachés in Italy on the occasion of First seminar “Italian Air Force Capabilities”, organised by the’International Aeronautics Policy Office.

The meeting, held on 13 November, at the’Auditorium A. Visconti of the Aeronautica Air Staff, is part of a wider programme of events and conferences dedicated to foreign Defence Attachés from countries accredited in Italy. The Chief of the 3rd Department reiterated the importance of building solid Network among the various protagonists of the sector and to promote the International aeronautical cooperation. These elements have been highlighted as fundamental tools for the common progress of the Italian Air Force and foreign Armed Forces within the context of air domain.

During the event, the International School of Decimomannu project was presented as part of theInternational Flight Training School (IFTS), which to date has trained numerous foreign attendees. Furthermore, the courses organised by Remotely Piloted Aircraft Centre of Excellence (APR) of Amendola, specialising in the training and instruction of pilots for small and medium-sized drones and the Airspace Control Training Department (RACSA), training centre for Air Defence, Air Traffic and Meteorology controllers.

Additionally, the system was illustrated: Procurement Italian aeronautics and the state of the art of major Italian aeronautical programmes of international interest. The Seminar was an opportunity to offer an overview of the excellence and distinctive capabilities of the Italian Air Force, with the aim of stimulating the creation of networks useful for future collaborations, consolidating current relationships.
