Idrovolante prototipo derivato dalla versione da ricognizione e bombardamento Savoia S.13. Caratterizzato dalla forte riduzione di apertura e superficie alare e dall’elica quadripala, la versione monoposto del Savoia S.13 era equipaggiata con un motore Isotta Fraschini V.6 da 250 CV spingente, scafo in legno e cellula biplana in legno rivestita in tela, montanti e rompitratta in acciaio. Partecipò alla 3a edizione della Coppa Schneider il 10 settembre 1919 a Bournemouth con ai comandi l’asso della prima Guerra Mondiale Guido Jannello. Alla media di 204 Km/h si aggiudicò la gara ma fu squalificato per il taglio di un pilone.
