The S.12 was a three-seater, biplane flying boat with a central hull, intended for reconnaissance and bombing. It was powered by a water-cooled, 12-cylinder V-engine Ansaldo San Giorgio 4E28, capable of developing a considerable 520 hp. In 1920, during the Italian edition of the Schneider Cup, in Venice, won first place.
