The 2012 edition of the “Live the Armed Forces – Military for Three Weeks” course has concluded at the Aeronautical Military Marshals School – Viterbo Airport Command. The course began on Monday 27th August and, as in previous years, was divided into three phases: the first, lasting one week, took place entirely at the Viterbo Department and was dedicated to enrolment procedures, formal instruction, physical and sports activities, teaching fundamental concepts on the “constitutional duty of defending the Homeland” and the institutional activities of the Armed Forces, with particular emphasis on those entrusted to the Aeronautical Military. In the second phase, the attendees were divided into groups and sent to the operational departments of the Armed Force: the 4th Wing in Grosseto, the 61st Wing in Lecce and the 72nd Wing in Frosinone, where they had the opportunity to see the modern aircraft in service with the Armed Force up close and gain a deeper understanding of the operational reality of the "Blue Army". One group, however, remained in Viterbo for a further week during which the young people deepened their knowledge of the training activities carried out by the School and visited the Historical Museum of the Aeronautical Military in Vigna di Valle (Rome). At the end of the period, all attendees returned to Viterbo for closing procedures and a short end-of-course ceremony during which they were awarded their certificates of participation.
