General Miniscalco returns for the first time to visit his former unit, which he commanded from 2002 to 2004. On April 11 and 12, a Team of the C.F.S.S. (Command of Support and Special Forces), commanded by Air Division General Gianpaolo Miniscalco, conducted a reconnaissance visit to the 9th Wing in Grazzanise (CE) with the aim of “photographing” the local reality through the observation and analysis of the various operational, logistical, administrative and organizational aspects of the Unit. Reconnaissance visits represent a way to verify the effects that the planning implemented by the Command of Support and Special Forces has had on the subordinate units. The 9th Squadron depends on the Air Force Command and ensures, with its HH-212 flight assets, support operations for Special Operations as well as search and rescue of personnel both in Italy and within the framework of international missions, providing air support to surface forces and intervening, in the presence of injured people, with the emergency medical evacuation activity.
