Focus on “fragility, fear, vulnerability, and modern methods of managing risk, uncertainty, and potential crisis situations”. The Conference, promoted by the Italian Society of Aviation and Space Psychiatry and Psychology (SIPPAS), in collaboration with the Air Force Medical Corps, was organised by SIPPAS, the AM Appeal Medical Commission, and the AM Institute of Aerospace Medicine. The Air Force Health Service and SIPPAS have, since 2007, embarked on a training and research path regarding the latest acquisitions in the field of neuroscience, including, among its various branches, neurobiology and occupational psychology. In this context, this year's Conference set the objective of addressing the themes of fragility, vulnerability, consequent fear, and modern methods of managing risk, uncertainty, and potential crisis situations. During the Conference, the aforementioned topics were addressed from both a neuroscientific and psychological perspective, also covering some aspects relating to occupational medicine and forensic medicine. The objectives of the conference provided attendees, specialist doctors in psychiatry, neurology, occupational medicine, aviation medicine and forensic medicine, psychologists, and nurses with the latest knowledge in these disciplinary fields.
