From 26 to 27 June, the Airman To Airman Talks between the Italian Air Force and the United States Air Force (USAF) took place in Washington DC. The Deputy Chief of Staff of the Air Force, Air Marshal Settimo CAPUTO, accompanied by Air Marshal Luca Goretti, Defence Attaché in the USA, was received by General Stephen W. “Seve” Wilson – Vice Chief of Staff USAF. The interview took place in a cordial atmosphere of mutual interest, once again highlighting the importance of cooperation between the two air forces, in a historical contingency that sees an increasingly interconnected and hybrid threat scenario. The meeting allowed for the discussion of important topics concerning training and the exchange of fighter pilots, in order to increase mutual experiential contribution, as well as relevant aspects of cooperation related to the development of the F-35 fighter's capability and the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle MQ-9 (Predator B).
