The delegation, chaired by the National Secretary of Defense of the Republic of the Philippines, visited our country from January 29 to February 2. Accompanied by Colonel Luca Vitali, serving at the General Secretariat of Defense and the National Armaments Directorate in Rome, the delegation arrived aboard a P 180 aircraft from the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa, and was welcomed by Lieutenant Colonel Luca Saverio Guadagno, Chief of Operations Office, and Lieutenant Colonel Claudio Zinetti, Chief of Command Office.
After an informative briefing on the activities of the Department, the representatives of the Philippine Ministry of Defense were accompanied on a tour of the various logistical and operational facilities of the Air Force, in particular the Aircraft Efficiency Group and the instrument training facility.
The day concluded with the exchange of crests between Colonel Enrico Garettini, Commander of the 51st Air Wing, and Colonel Julius Guillermo, Head of the delegation, in the “Guidi” Room of the Officers’ Club.
