An 11-month-old child with burns over 40% of his body was transported from Perugia to Cesena by helicopter. The helicopter took off at 15:45 following the order received from the Air Force operational control room responsible for activating the search and rescue alert chain of the Air Operations Command (COA) of Poggio Renatico (FE).
Arriving in Perugia at 16:15, the crew of the HH-3F boarded the child, whose condition had been stabilized, along with a doctor and two nurses.
After the boarding operations were completed, the helicopter immediately headed towards Cesena, landing at 17:25 on the hospital grounds of “Buflini”, where the medical team and the child were greeted by the medical staff of the facility.
Finally, the HH-3F returned to Cervia to resume its SAR alert service.
