The first course of 2013, organized by the Flight Safety Office of the Air Force Command, took place at the A.M. detachment of Monte Terminillo.
Currently, about 30 military personnel, including officers and non-commissioned officers from the Italian Air Force and the Italian Army, have participated. During the lessons, the participants learned survival techniques in the mountains and developed the skills to manage the physical and psychological stress typical of a mountain environment.
In particular, the course, through expert instructors from the 6th Ghedi Squadron (BS) and the 15th Cervia Squadron (RA), included theoretical and practical courses in meteorology, first aid, orientation, techniques for constructing various types of shelters, as well as techniques for survival in adverse environmental and meteorological conditions, generally intended for navigation personnel and fixed flight crews.
The course concluded with the delivery of certificates of participation to the attendees by Captain Roberto Renzetti, Commander of the detachment.
