Five two-day sessions were dedicated to the intelligence tests, aptitude interviews and sports tests required by the competition notice. The Selection Centre called up, over the course of 5 sessions, the 350 candidates who were successfully placed in the ranking of the cultural selection test previously held at the Army Selection Centre in Foligno.
Specifically, on the first day the candidates underwent medical examinations at the Italian Air Force Aerospace Medical Institute in Rome. Those deemed fit by the AMI then proceeded to Guidonia, where over the course of two days they completed a series of aptitude tests supplemented by an individual interview. Finally, the candidates who passed the aptitude assessments were admitted to take three physical efficiency tests: press-ups, sit-ups and a 2000-metre flat run.
During their stay at the Selection Centre, candidates were able to make use of board and lodging.
The competition procedure will continue with the evaluation of qualifications and the drawing up of the merit ranking list by a dedicated Commission appointed by the Director General for Military Personnel, which will establish the 140 winners of the competition.
