The call for applications for the recruitment of 800 new VFP1s for the Air Force is open until 20 November 2019. On Friday 25 October, at the School of Air Force Volunteers In Taranto, the swearing-in ceremony for 407 cadets Volunteers on a Fixed-Term Contract of one year (VFP1) belonging to the 24th Eracle II Course – II Enlistment 2019. The ceremony was presided over by the Commander of the Air Force Schools Command/3rd Air Region, Air Chief Marshal Aurelio Colagrande, in the presence of the military, civil, and religious institutions of the territory and the Veterans' Associations. The Air Force Volunteer School is the sole national training and instructional centre that provides basic military and moral training for Air Force enlisted personnel, as well as their specific professional instruction according to the mission and guidelines indicated by Air Force Schools Command/3rd Air Force Region.
