Two Eurofighter fighters intercept a British TriStar. The interception took place at approximately 11:18 local time west of Gioia del Colle; the Eurofighter fighters, after visually confirming the identification, escorted the aircraft up to the national airspace border. This is the first live scramble for the 10th Flight Group since it was transferred from the Trapani air base, home of the 37th Wing, under the command of the 36th Wing of Gioia del Colle.
