Medicine: otolaryngology conference organised by the Military Department of Legal Medicine and the Psychophysiological Aeromedical Centre

The Conference, which saw the participation of one hundred military and civilian medical doctors and health care workers, is part of a program of continuous scientific updating for the healthcare personnel of the Armed Forces.

The Commander of the AM/3rd Air Region took part in the event, Air Force Corps General Silvano Frigerio, the Chief of the Military Air Service Medical Department, Chief Inspector Fabio Morgagni, the Director of the Institute of Aerospace Medicine of Rome (I.M.A.), Brigadier General Pasquale Musolino, and finally the Colonel Mattia Ciriello, The Director of the D.M.M.L. and the C.A.P., who, before the start of the activities, addressed a greeting to the participants and wished them good work.

The conference, chaired by the Head of the Otolaryngology Service and scientific coordinator of the conference itself, Colonel Francesco Parrella, had the intention of creating a synergy between the military and civilian worlds To update and help specialists in addressing the problems of daily clinical practice, in a perspective of common and shared information and training synergy. Military, civil and academic world speakers alternated in discussing medical and scientific topics, focusing on the current state of scientific knowledge regarding sensory integration, discussing pathological aspects with the illustration of multi-specialty clinical cases based on field experience and scientific literature data, and reviewing rehabilitation aspects and new therapeutic perspectives.
