Tuesday 25 February Unavia Cert renewed the certification indicated by ISO EN UNI 9001:2008 for the Lecce Wing Group. The audit, carried out by the certifying body on 24 and 25 February, highlighted and confirmed the soundness and efficiency of the Group's operating methods, within the context and in compliance with the Aer. Q-2005 standard “Continuing Airworthiness”. Specifically, the maintenance processes that enable the MB-339 weapon system to safely achieve the required standards for the training of Italian Air Force pilots and foreign Armed Forces were validated. The ISO EN UNI 9001:2008 certification essentially confirms that the Aircraft Efficiency Group is capable of delivering high-quality services, pursuing and applying innovative “Customer Satisfaction” principles, i.e., complying with the dictates of the ISO UNI 9004 Standard. The important result achieved represents a further step forward in the organizational growth and maintenance quality improvement path undertaken by the Aircraft Efficiency Group, for the benefit of the flight groups of the A.M. Schools Command, through the improvement and rigorous management of the working process methodologies.
Words of appreciation were spoken by Colonel Alessandro Bartomeoli, Commander of the Wing, regarding the work carried out daily by all GEA personnel, and by its Commander, Major Serafino Mosca, to whom he expressed full satisfaction for the efforts made and the flattering objectives achieved, highlighting how adherence to the norm is not just a mere application exercise, but rather a feeling of the Quality Management System as an integral part of the Group's complex daily maintenance activities.
