Thursday 31 March Surveillance Visit to the Missile Maintenance Department in Padua. The surveillance visit, which highlighted the maturity level of the Quality Management System and the full correspondence of work activities with the operational and management procedures in use at the Department, was carried out by General Vincenzo De Blasi and Colonel (Ret.) Francesco Barone, who thanked all the military and civilian personnel of the Department, headed by Colonel Claudio Barbieri, for the collaboration provided. With the surveillance visit, the Department continues the path of continuous improvement initiated in February 2006, when it obtained Quality Management System certification according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 standard. In March 2009, in addition to maintaining the Quality Management System requirements proven by passing the surveillance visit for UNI EN ISO 9001:2000 certification, the Entity obtained certification according to the UNI EN ISO 9001:2008 standard, achieved conformity with the requirements of the NATO AQAP-2120 standard and the renewal of conformity to AQAP-2120. Furthermore, as an opportunity for improvement, the 2nd RMM has set itself the objective of extending the quality management system to the AB-212 Maintenance Service.
