Florence hosts the reunion of the Borea Courses of the Aeronautica Militare Academy. The attendees, accompanied by their families who always enrich the joyful event, were welcomed by the Commander of ISMA, Air Division General Gian Franco Camperi, who was thanked for the opportunity granted and for his shared participation in the most heartfelt events of the Florentine weekend. Holy Mass, celebrated in the Military Chapel of ISMA, represented an extremely significant moment in which the Borea Courses remembered their departed colleagues: the military chaplain, Don Pasquale Didonna, reiterated how these “moments of remembrance, friendship and sharing help to tackle with vigour the different moments in life, those of joy and light-heartedness but also the more difficult ones“At the end of the service, the Commander of ISMA and representatives of the Borea Courses laid a wreath at the war memorial with the honours of an armed guard of student officers from the Military Aeronautics School, commanded by Captain Antonia Turco.
Participants then took a guided tour of the Uffizi Gallery and appreciated the many historical and architectural treasures of the city of Florence's rich museum complex. The Borea courses originated in 1924 and followed in 1944, 1963, 1982 and 2001.
