General Molteni signed the protocol with the Institute of Science and Technology of Ceramic Materials (ISTEC-CNR) for research and experimental activities in the field of materials for aeronautical and aerospace applications.
The Chemical Department (RC) carries out activities in the field of materials science, analytical chemistry and commodity classification. The Department possesses analytical, control, investigation and training and qualification capabilities in the specific field of materials used in aeronautics. The RC often collaborates with the Directorate of Aeronautical Armament and Air Navigation, with the National Flight Safety Agency and, upon specific request, with the Public Prosecutor’s Offices. The personnel of the RC, due to the specific technical and professional preparation they possess, is present in the ranks of instructors of courses that are taught both at the training institutions of the Armed Forces and at the RC itself. The technical and scientific significance that characterizes the experimental activities of the RC has often led to their publication in the most important international scientific journals dedicated to materials science and analytical chemistry.
