The course was held at the RAMI at Moody AFB
The course is part of the exchange programs between the Air Force and the countries of the Atlantic Alliance aimed at fostering integration in operational terms, increasing the rate of standardization of flight procedures, and consolidating the maintenance philosophies applied to weapon systems managed as a common factor.
The program enabled the first Air Force pilot, Captain Maurizio D. G., to qualify on the A-10C “Thunderbolt II”; he served with the 74th Fighter Squadron, which after an initial period of training in Arizona subsequently achieved the “Combat Ready,” “Chief Couple,” “Sandy,” and “Chief Training” qualifications.
