320 students participated in the Aeronautical Culture Course in Pavia. The ceremony was held in the presence of the Commander of Cameri Airport, Colonel Walter De Gennaro, the Commander of Guidonia Airport - Gliding Flight Group, Colonel Alberto Pelacchi, and various local authorities. During the prize-giving ceremony, Provincial Councillor Francesco Brendolise and Municipal Councillor Rodolfo Faldini spoke words of gratitude, underlining the importance that this opportunity represented for the students from Pavia in terms of experience and from a future perspective for career guidance phases.
Luca Morandi and Valerio Fanelli took first and second place respectively, and will therefore take part in a gliding mini-course at the Guidonia-Gruppo Volo a Vela Airport in August. The other students were awarded prizes offered by the Air Force Staff.
There were 320 participants in the Pavia Aeronautical Culture Course: from 6th to 9th May they took part in the theoretical part held at the Copernico secondary school in Pavia, and from 13th to 15th May they carried out the flight test at Cameri airport (NO). Following the courses in Treviso and Pescara, the Pavia course brings the 2013 promotional activity of the Gliding Group to a close. This year, one thousand young people took part in this initiative, which is offered completely free of charge and on an optional basis to students aged between 16 and 20.
The enthusiasm and satisfaction expressed on social media at the end of the courses highlighted the great interest that flight and the Air Force hold for the younger generations.
