From 20 September to 22 October, the OSES survey will be conducted for Air Force Maintenance personnel. This is a survey system developed for complex organisations, such as our Air Force can be considered, which are exposed to a high level of risk. The aim of this internal survey within the Armed Force is to improve prevention efforts and the effectiveness of the risk management process associated with flight operations. The 2010 survey is part of a more complex project that began in 2007 with aircrew (who repeated it in 2009), and was joined in June by Air Traffic Control and Air Defence personnel.
All personnel involved in the maintenance of Weapon Systems are asked to contribute to the knowledge of the critical issues within their Armed Force from a Flight Safety perspective, by completing an anonymous questionnaire of approximately 80 questions pertaining to elements that directly influence the safety level of flight operations. Personnel are therefore invited to complete the questionnaire online (Aeronet/Internet) by accessing it anonymously, using a unique access key per Unit, distributed through Flight Safety Officers/department delegates of the relevant Units/Organisations. The website will be accessible for completing the questionnaire only from 20th September to 22nd October.
