The historical headquarters of the 1st Air Region opened its doors to the public during the “Open House Milan 2018” initiative. On Saturday, May 5th, the 1st Air Region Headquarters opened its doors to the public during the Open House initiative, giving Milanese citizens the opportunity once again to admire the historical and architectural features of the building, the historical headquarters of the Air Force in the city of Milan, whose construction, carried out in full Rationalist style, dates back to the late 1930s of the last century.
The Command of the 1st Air Region had already opened its doors to the public on other occasions, on the occasion of the national “4 November” and “FAI Spring Days”, during which a considerable influx of citizens always occurred who came to visit the building in Piazza Novelli.
Also on this occasion, the citizens of Milan did not fail to show affection and closeness towards the Blue Army and interest in the important historical and architectural features of the headquarters of the 1st Air Region Command.
