Venerdì 27 Maggio il Sottosegretario di Stato alla Difesa ha espresso piena soddisfazione per rispetto tempistica concordata con gli USA Al suo arrivo a Cameri, l’on.Crosetto è stato ricevuto dal Comandante dell’aeroporto militare, Colonnello Alessandro Tudini, dal Prefetto di Novara, dott. Giuseppe Amelio, e dal Direttore del 1° Reparto Manutenzione Velivoli (RMV), Colonnello Fabio Sciorella. Successivamentel’on.Crosetto, alla presenza dei vertici ed esponenti di rilievo del Gruppo Finmeccanica, ha assistito ad un briefing illustrativo circa lo stato di avanzamento dei lavori e ha visitato il cantiere dove sorgeranno le infrastrutture della FACO. Terminata la visita al cantiere, l’incontro con la stampa durante il quale ilSottosegretario di Stato alla Difesa ha dichiarato, tra l’altro, che “il progetto sta proseguendo come previsto e stiamo rispettando la tempistica concordata con gli USA (…) qui si costruirà un velivolo che è avanti di vent’anni e la tecnologia militare sarà a disposizione, come sempre avviene di quella civile”.
