The “Initial Functional JFAC Training” course was held from March 14 to 25, 2022 at the Deployable Air Command and Control Centre (DACCC) facilities in Poggio Renatico (FE). The course is held with almost monthly periodicity and forms the basis of advanced training for multinational personnel assigned to the NATO air component command and control facilities.

Structured to provide Alliance personnel with knowledge of the processes and procedures that take place within the air component’s structures (JFAC) in the development of the planning of the use of air power, this course saw the participation in this edition of 30 attendees, many of whom came from the Torrejon Air Command and Control Center (Spain), the Ramstein Air Force Command (Germany), the Poggio Renatico Aerospace Operations Command, and the Uedem Air Command and Control Center (Germany).

Air Division General Denny Traas, Commander of the DACCC, in a message addressed to the staff of the NATO Command at Poggio Renatico, highlighted how the situation we are experiencing at the moment has brought to light the importance and value of joint training, underscoring the excellence of the courses organized by the DACCC, focused on providing highly qualified military personnel to fill positions in the JFAC organization and thus improve the support of the operational effort of the NATO Command of AIRCOM.

The Deployable Command and Control Centre (DACCC) is an integral part of NATO’s Air Component, which since the time of peace and through its Subordinate Commands deployed on European territory monitors, protects and preserves the integrity of airspace.
