A large audience was able to witness the performances of the National Aerobatic Team and the 82nd SAR Centre.
Sunday 19 May, on the Giulianova seafront, the Air Show “Giulianova Air Show”organised by the Aero Club Picenum and the City of Giulianova. The day dedicated to flying opened with the flypast of an HH-139 helicopter from the’82° SAR Centre while, to the notes of the national anthem, he flew the tricolour flag.
The programme continued with the performance, among others, of some aircraft from the’Aeroclub Picenum and of a helicopter of the Coastguard.
There was enormous interest among viewers in the demonstration of Search and Rescue (Search and Rescue) carried out by a crew of the’82° SAR Centre with an HH-139 helicopter. In particular, a maritime rescue mission was simulated with the recovery of a castaway using a winch.
The demonstration culminated in the acrobatic display of the National Acrobatic Patrol which kept the thousands of spectators present on the edge of their seats despite the unfavourable weather.
The Air Shows allow the Air Force to increasingly consolidate its closeness to the citizens, giving them a demonstration of operational capabilities che, in addition to the excellence of “Made in Italy”for which the Frecce Tricolori act as ambassadors worldwide, are placed at the service of the country daily.
