The event involved the highest training institute of the Air Force and the Institutes for “Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials” (IPCB) and “Biomolecular Chemistry” (ICB).
Pozzoili, 31 August 2022 – At the Sala Dedalo of the Officer's Club, it was signed by the Commander of the’Air Force Academy Air Brigadier General Paolo Tarantino and the Directors of the 2 CNR Institutes, Engineer Luigi Ambrosio (ICPB) and Professor Angelo Fontana (ICB) signed the first Implementing Agreement (named “Rostrum”) which will allow the development of innovative training pathways for attendees – also focused on Research and Technological Transfer – to be applied to the domains of competence of the Air Force, such as that of UAVs and the aerospace sector.
Before the signing, an explanatory briefing was screened, which was also attended by representatives of the two Institutes involved and the Permanent Framework, in order to align the event with the “upstream” process dating back to the existing Collaboration Agreement between the Air Force and the National Research Council.
Specifically, regarding the Implementing Agreement, the focus was particularly on the development that, starting from the end of this year, will have to be implemented regarding the projects BLACK OPS, Italo e HYPER This, involving attendees of the Training Units present at the Institute, will allow them – thanks to the indispensable contribution of researchers from the two aforementioned Institutes – to deepen specific sectors of aeronautical interest, in order to complement their university education with solid professional preparation.
The mission of the Institute for Polymers, Composites and Biomaterials (IPCB) is to conduct research in the field of Polymeric Materials, Composites and Biomaterials with the aim of making proposed innovations applicable and subsequently industrialisable within companies and districts.
The mission of the Institute of Biomolecular Chemistry (ICB) consists of the study of the characteristics, synthesis and properties of chemical compounds, particularly small organic molecules, involved in biological processes, with the aim of understanding their function and exploring their applications.
