The 2013 edition of the International Tourism Exchange also hosted the Italian Air Force stand. Numerous visitors attended the stand to see the aerobatic displays of the ten aircraft of the Frecce Tricolori (Italian Air Force Aerobatic Team) on the big screens and to meet the Commander of the “Frecce Tricolori”, Major Jan Slangen, and the men who make up the 313th Aerobatic Training Group.
A particularly significant edition has just concluded, precisely because of the presence in our stand of the official Italian Air Force simulator, tried out by hundreds of visitors who were accompanied, on a flight with the Frecce Tricolori [the Italian Air Force aerobatic demonstration team], by personnel from the 5th Department of the General Staff.
At BIT, the Air Force also participated with personnel from the National Centre for Aeronautical Meteorology and Climatology of Pratica di Mare (Rome), who provided visitors with useful advice on the weather and meteorological forecasts in real time.
Rivolto Airport, home of the 313th Group, is open to visitors during the spring months, both for organised groups who can contact the National Aerobatic Team's External Relations Office directly, and for individuals, through the established collaboration with the FVG Tourism Agency.
