A C-130J aircraft of the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa of the Air Force has just carried out the medical transport for a 27-year-old man who urgently needed medical assistance. A medical transport carried out with a C-130J aircraft of the 46th Air Brigade of Pisa of the Air Force has recently concluded in favor of a 27-year-old man in Imminent Life Threatening Situation (IPV) on the route Lamezia Terme/Milano Linate. The transport, requested by the Prefecture of Cosenza, was necessary as the patient urgently needed medical assistance, so much so that he was transported on board the C-130J with the same ambulance where a medical team was also present who managed to stabilize his delicate health conditions. The aerial mission was initially managed by the Situation Room of the Summit Command of the Air Force of Rome and, subsequently, by the Italian Air Operation Center of the COA (Comando Operazioni Aeree) of Ferrara. The Air Force’s transport aircraft and helicopters are ready 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, to intervene in public service missions such as the emergency medical transport of people in imminent danger of life, as happened this night, or the transportation of organs and medical teams for transplants. The service covers the entire national territory, including the islands, and when requested by the competent authorities it is also provided for the benefit of Italian citizens who are abroad.
