The 26th Italy Report presented: the Air Force remains an Armed Force at the service of the community
At the event, which was attended by numerous civil and military authorities as well as authoritative representatives of civil society, a large delegation of senior officials of the Air Staff was also present, with Air Division General Umberto Baldi representing the Chief of Staff of the Air Force.
Professor Fara, President of the Institute, in his report emphasized how high the citizens’ consensus towards the Armed Forces has become today. By examining the Report in detail, specifically regarding the Air Force, it emerges that the consensus is 65.2% favorable opinions among the respondents. This consensus stems from the fact that the Armed Force, in addition to ensuring the indispensable safety of the increasingly crowded skies, provides the community with a full range of services 24 hours a day, 365 days a year, such as emergency medical transport, national meteorological service, and aerial rescue. The dedicated page on Aeronautics highlights, furthermore, that the return to investments in the aeronautical sector represents a concrete opportunity for the country’s system to grow, which should be focused on in the future with the Armed Forces operating in symbiosis with civil aviation, the European aeronautical institutions and the national industry in the sector. The continuous updating and adaptation of the aeronautical instrument is a complex matter, however, capable of generating significant economic, technological and social returns.
