Men and women who, with competence, a sense of duty, solidarity, generosity, loyalty and courage, are always animated by an innate inclination towards technological innovation, in the inseparable binomial of heart and technology”. Furthermore, he recalled how: “L’aeronautica Militare siauna Forza Armata sempre più utile e apprezzata negli impegni internazionali assunti dall’Italia insieme a paesi alleati per contrastare il terrorismo internazionale”Emphasizing how the Blue Arm is “able to provide protection even to many friendly countries lacking air defense capabilities and has deployed its aircraft in the Mediterranean, the Middle East, the Balkans, and Lebanon” edha spiegato, ricordando poi il prioritario impegno di salvaguardia e difesa dello spazio aereo nazionale e le molteplici attività svolte per la collettività.“Operational capabilities and skills available to the country from all angles”come ad esempio i voli sanitari che salvano tante vite umane, le missioni di soccorso per assistere la popolazione in occasione di gravi calamità. Il Generale Graziano ha ricordato nel suo discorso che “Today's oath takes place in a particular historical moment, when the centenary of the First World War is approaching; during this period, aircraft still bearing the insignia of the Royal Army and the Royal Navy were used, which formed the core of what would become the Royal Air Force.“.“Italian Air Force – continued the Head of SMD – It was born in a time of great transformation that subsequently characterized the Armed Forces in its history, linked to technological evolution and the development of weapon systems to meet the security needs that, as never before, pose important additional challenges and risks that require greater national commitment, especially in the southern part of the world, regarding the terrorist threat, clandestine migration, the illegal trafficking of substances, an effort aimed at supporting failed states while at the same time contributing to the collective defense and deterrence of the Atlantic Alliance and the European Union that represents our future. All this indicates a path of structural and conceptual transformation, as well as technological transformation, of the Armed Forces that finds its synthesis in the White Paper, a document in which the security needs of the country and the resulting transformation requirements are outlined.“. General Vecciarelli in his speech highlighted the will to “To celebrate this important anniversary right here in Florence, in conjunction with the 80th anniversary of the Institute of Military Aviation Sciences, and for the simultaneous solemn swearing-in of the young students of the “Omega” course of our military high school Giulio Douhet, which represents an essential but at the same time solemn and indissoluble commitment made with conviction by very young boys who still have the whole of their future to define and realize. General Vecciarelli then emphasized that it is “Three-quarters of our history, 75 years out of 95, have been well spent in contributing first to the affirmation of democratic values and in the foundation of the Republic, and subsequently in consolidating and safeguarding the constitution in the spirit of absolute loyalty and allegiance to the legitimately constituted democratic institutions. He finally concluded by emphasizing “An Air Force that must be increasingly efficient and willing to contribute, capable of integrating itself in full support of the other Armed Forces, as well as other bodies, agencies and institutions of the State, in an holistic and interdisciplinary perspective that will further enhance the political action of Italy in the international context. For this reason, while we hope for an increasingly convinced recognition of our role, we must continue to invest in the human element, leveraging, first and foremost, the strength of ideas, the capacity for innovation and the firm determination that we all have to make our beloved Italy increasingly safe, prosperous, evolved and modern.
