Thousands of guests visited the A.M. stand during the three days of the event. Many visitors approached the A.M. stand to try the thrill of flying in an acrobatic plane, thanks to the simulator, but also to ask questions and obtain information from the staff of the Arma Azzurra who attended the event.
To everyone’s surprise, the Air Force also exhibited an old Gilera motorcycle restored by personnel from the 3rd Squadron of Villafranca (VR), causing amazement and curiosity among enthusiasts of two-wheeled vehicles about a piece of motorcycle history.
On the day of the opening of the event, the A.M. stand also hosted the President of the Verona Fair, Dr. Ettore Riello, who, as a passionate aviation enthusiast, expressed his appreciation for the staff present for the activities carried out by the Armed Forces, the relations with the public, the official information through the pages of the Aeronautica Rivista magazine, and the promotion of books and thematic panels on historical subjects.
On Saturday 19 January, the A.M. stand was visited by the young Niccolò Canepa, World Champion in the FIM Cup Superstock 1000 in 2007, who, wearing the role of a plane pilot, performed an acrobatic flight on the PAN simulator.
The participation of the Air Force in the event was a success in terms of attendance and provided the local population with the opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the Armed Forces and the 3rd Squadron, which has been operating in Villafranca for years.
