Within the Defence Staff area, an Italian Air Force stand was set up. During the event, which was attended by thousands of young people from secondary schools not only in Puglia but also from neighbouring regions, a great many students approached the Italian Air Force stand, seeking direct contact with personnel from the Air Force Schools Command/3rd Air Region to learn about the organisational and working reality of the Armed Force and how the men and women “in blue” operate on a daily basis. The meeting in the Career Guidance Room, themed “Young People Meet the Armed Forces,” was very well attended, where participants interacted with representatives from the military world to gain a better understanding of the multiple tasks carried out and how Defence contributes to the national system. The Student Fair represents one of the most important realities in the post-school guidance sector, and the participation of the Defence has made it possible to disseminate the “Culture of Defence,” understood as the set of values, traditions, and objectives that characterise the work of the Armed Forces in service of the community.
