Over 60 units of the Viterbo Local Police Corps trained at the Shooting Range of the NCO School. The participating personnel, during the twenty-two sessions held at the Shooting Range, attended both theoretical lessons and practical activities planned by the training programme.
The course is indeed aimed at providing attendees with the necessary theoretical and practical training in the use of common firearms, as provided for by article 18 of Ministerial Decree 145/1987.
For the running of the course, new military shooting instructors from the School were employed, among others. They focused the theoretical lessons on the functioning of weapons, the ammunition issued to the Corps, and on the main shooting techniques, the latter subsequently put into practice during live firing exercises.
The activity, which represents an important and fruitful example of synergy between the Armed Force and local institutions aimed at optimising resources and containing costs, was made possible following an agreement for the exchange of goods and services, provided for by current regulations and signed on 9 July.
The Local Police Commander, Dr Franco Fainelli, expressing his satisfaction with the activity carried out in perfect synergy with the Air Force personnel, highlighted how, thanks to the School's availability, the Municipality of Viterbo was able to guarantee training of the highest quality, doubling the training activities of its Local Police Corps and, at the same time, confirming the spending levels adopted in previous years.
