The flight mission was coordinated by the Italian Air Force Staff Situation Room, at the request of the Prime Minister's Office. The Malian Embassy coordinated relations with the local government authorities for the subsequent retrieval and distribution operations of the health and humanitarian supplies in the country.
The aircraft is carrying a cargo of medicines, first-aid kits, and clothing, provided by the Italian Red Cross, and tents, cots, and bedding, made available by the Fire Brigade.
