The Air Force Band paid tribute to the populations affected by the recent earthquake on the occasion of National Unity Day and Armed Forces Day
The event, organized by the Prefecture of Ferrara, was initiated by the Ministry of Defense, in concert with the General Staff of the Defense and the Air Force, as a sign of solidarity and closeness to the populations affected by the recent earthquake.
The detailed organizational aspects were delegated to the Air Operations Command of Poggio Renatico (FE), which worked in synergy with the other local Armed Forces, the Guardia di Finanza, the Police Forces, the Fire Brigade, the Civil Protection Department and the Volunteer Organizations.
The concert, whose program included performances of works by L. Bernstein, S. McNeff, G. Verdi, G. Rossini and C. Coleman, once again received the full approval of the present authorities and the very large audience that filled the theater in every row of seats.
At the conclusion of the concert, the Commander of the Air Operations Command, General of the Air Force Mirco Zuliani, thanked the A.M. Band, the Municipality and the Institutions of Ferrara, highlighting how their presence and especially the impressive participation of the citizens paid back in one moment all the personnel who wear a uniform and are engaged daily in fulfilling their duties.
The evening concluded with the intervention of the Prefect of Ferrara, Dr. Provvidenza Raimondo, who thanked all those who, from the very first hours following the earthquake, worked to provide support to the population, representing, through their actions, the highest expression of that spirit of solidarity and national unity that is precisely remembered and celebrated on November 4th.
