The 3rd International Esobiology Meeting took place in Milan with the participation of Colonel Arturo Cattel. On Saturday, 26th September, the 3rd International Esobiology Meeting was held at the historic Palazzo Cusani in Milan, where the topic of U.F.O.s (unidentified flying objects) was discussed. Colonel Arturo Cattel, Head of the Security Office of the Security General Department of the Air Force Staff, participated in the event.
The meeting, which saw the participation of various expert personalities in the field, was organised and led by the journalist and exobiology expert Sabrina Pieragostini.
In his opening address, Colonel Cattel clarified to the audience the support provided by the Air Force regarding UFOs, through the recording of all reports received from citizens via the Carabinieri stations across the country, in order to correlate the information received with known events. These reports are collected in an archive which the Air Force has declassified to allow anyone interested to view the documents contained within.
Colonel Cattel also specified that one of the main tasks of the Air Force is to defend Italian airspace, ensuring the operational effectiveness and deployment of air forces within the national and international security system. This is carried out 24 hours a day, seven days a week, to provide security for citizens and safeguard the integrity of the State. Colonel Cattel further stated that the Armed Force makes its documentary material available to agencies and authorities operating in the scientific and technical field for any studies and in-depth analyses.
