The Joint Stars 2018 inter-force exercise aims to maximize the training value to ensure interoperability and integration between the Armed Forces. On Monday, May 14, the Main Operating Base of the Joint Stars 2018 exercise was held at the military airport of Decimomannu (Ca); the observation day was truly a day dedicated to the Foreign Liaison Officers of the General Staff of the Defense, to some ENAV executives and to the representatives of all operational and logistical components of the Armed Forces that contributed to the entire planning process of the most important inter-force exercise of 2018. The presence of foreign personnel also represents an opportunity to promote and extend the participation in future editions of formations and units of the Armed Forces from other countries.

During the visit, the staff of the Exercise Directorate explained to the “observers” the structures and components that were activated for Joint Stars 2018, from the command and control facilities to the various military aircraft present on the flight line. The delegation also witnessed a demonstration of Joint Personnel Recovery.
