Thursday 28th April radio link with Eng. Nespoli in orbit from the International Space Station

Thursday 28th April featured a radio link with engineer Nespoli, who is orbiting aboard the International Space Station. Before the link-up, General Baldi introduced engineer Emanuele D’Andria, President of AMSAT Italia, and engineer Francesco De Paolis, Secretary of AMSAT Italia and ARISS Mentor Italia. They explained the Association's objectives, the key stages of the connection, and the technical instructions for communicating with the orbiting station, with a particular focus on ARISS (Amateur Radio International Space Station). ARISS has a permanent amateur radio station aboard the ISS that is accessible to the global community. In conclusion, General Inspector Chief Pietro Finocchio, former Head of the Air Force Engineering Corps and current President of the Rome Chapter of AFCEA (Armed Forces Communications and Electronics Association), presented the Association's special features in a briefing.
