The delegation was hosted by the Villafranca di Verona Wing from 31 March to 3 April. The event officially opened with a welcome from the Wing Commander, Colonel Marco Maistrello.
Representatives from the Logistic Command's Infrastructure Service, the Decimomannu Base itself, and the German Ministry of Defence were present at the meeting.
On this occasion, on Wednesday 2 April the two delegations carried out a visit to the Wing, which began with a briefing on the main issues involving the Department, before moving on to a test of the “Off-road”– designed to allow adequate basic training for safely operating a vehicle off-road – and on the illustration of “safe driving” activities, within the framework of the peculiar activities carried out by the transport group's instructors.
The programme continued with an illustration of the’Air Terminal Operations Centre (ATOC) and the aircraft support part of the Operational Support Services Group (GSSO) and the field assets and CBRN (Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Nuclear) unit of the Operational Support Mobile Group (GMSO).
