From 5th to 7th March in Salon de Provence, a competition between France, Italy and Spain. An excellent performance from the Air Force Academy. In the Trilateral encounters in the Swimming, Athletics and Volleyball specialities, the young cadets, through a spirit of sacrifice from the preparatory phase and during the competitions, once again demonstrated excellent sporting qualities, culminating in a record in the 4x50m medley relay in the swimming speciality, captained by Second Lieutenant Danilo Corvietto of the ‘Falco V’ course, and coming out on top in volleyball with both matches won 2-0 by the Italian Air Force Academy.
The Italian delegation, led by Air Brigadier General Umberto Baldi, Commander of the Academy, received unanimous approval from the members of the other Institutes. “With these important professional and sporting exchanges, the process of integration within the European military sphere is finding increasingly fertile ground,” declared General Baldi.
