At the headquarters of the Italian Cultural Institute, the photographic exhibition on the Tricolour Arrows was inaugurated. In fact, the exhibition had been organized for the first time on the occasion of the celebrations for the 50th anniversary of the National Acrobatics Patrol, in the splendid setting of Villa Manin in Passariano, Codroipo, a few kilometers from the airport of Rivolto, which has been hosting the Tricolour Arrows since March 1, 1961.
Numerous halls are set up with large photo panels that summarize, in a static form, the essence of the Italian collective aerobatic flight, which originated in Friuli Venezia Giulia at the end of the 1920s. In the photographic shots, made by the military photographers of the 313th Acrobatic Training Group, this is the ’official name“ of the Tricolour Arrows, and by the Japanese photographer Katsuhiko Tokunaga, the history of the Tricolour Arrows is traced, condensed in its most famous acrobatic maneuvers.
The inauguration, presided over by H.E. the Ambassador of Italy in Prague, Pasquale D’Avino, and by the Director of the Italian Cultural Institute, Dr. Paolo Sabbatini, concluded with the presentation to some Officers of the Armed Forces of the Czech Republic of an award issued by Minister of Defense Giampaolo Di Paola for the collaboration provided during the international mission in Bosnia.
