The collaboration between the Command of the 1st Air Region and the Rava Foundation continues with the initiative in favor of children in health poverty. Last Tuesday, November 20, on the occasion of World Children’s Rights Day, the 1st Air Region Command, for the second consecutive year, joined the fifth edition of “In Pharmacy for Children,” expanding the participation of personnel in the blue uniform from other Air Force entities present in the area of responsibility.
“In Farmacie per i bambini” is a national awareness-raising initiative on children’s rights and the collection of over-the-counter medicines, children’s food and pediatric products for children in poor health in Italy and Haiti.
This year’s edition saw the personnel of the Command of the 1st Air Region, the 6th Ghedi Squadron, the 51st Istrana Squadron and the Areale Support Logistics Center of Cadimare, offer their own availability to promote the initiative of the Rava Foundation, in the local participating pharmacies.
The Command of the 1st Air Region has already collaborated on numerous occasions with the Rava Foundation, particularly by organizing concerts by the 1st Air Region Band, aimed at raising funds; the most recent of these was used to finance the construction of a school in the municipality of Pieve Torina, a locality affected by the earthquake in central Italy, whose inauguration will take place next December.
