His Eminence Rev. Msgr. Roberto Carboni paid a visit to the P.I.S.Q. on Wednesday, June 6th. On this occasion, the Experimental and Inter-Service Training Area of “Salto di Quirra” was the subject of a very welcome visit by His Eminence Rev. Msgr. Roberto Carboni, Bishop of the Diocese of Ales – Terralba (OR).
Welcomed by the Commander of the P.I.S.Q., General of B.A. Giorgio Francesco Russo, Monsignor Carboni officiated the Holy Mass in the Chapel of the base of Perdasdefogu, named after the Blessed Virgin of Loreto.
At the end of the Eucharistic celebration, the ecclesiastical authorities visited the facilities of the P.I.S.Q., finally attending a briefing on the activities carried out within the site.
Monsignor Carboni congratulated General Russo on the work of the Polígono, praising the human and professional value of the personnel that make it up.
“The P.I.S.Q. – said the Bishop during the homily – is a solid reality, composed of people who dedicate their lives to others, somewhat like we men of the Church do. For this reason – he continued – I particularly appreciated the invitation of General Russo, taking the opportunity to approach these people and pray for their families.’.
