Dr Raimondo carried out a visit to the 2nd Wing and the 313th Aerobatic Training Group. After being welcomed by Colonel Stefano Tessaro, Commander of the 2nd Wing, the Prefect attended an operational flight by the National Aerobatic Patrol before visiting, accompanied by Major Jan Slangen, the hangar where aircraft maintenance takes place. During the day, Colonel Tessaro formally handed over some personal computers, no longer suitable for military operational requirements but still efficient, to the head teachers of some schools in the province of Udine. This operation, permitted by current legislation, has allowed the schools to obtain additional training equipment free of charge and the military administration to avoid disposal costs for scrapping materials that can still be used for other purposes.
During the delivery of the PCs, 17 in total, Doctor Raimondo was also present and did not fail to share her praise for the initiative. The 2nd Wing, in addition to providing direct support to the activities of the Frecce Tricolori, is the Air Force Unit identified as the reference for the Armed Force's missile component.
