On Thursday 11 February, the State General Staff of the A.M. was welcomed upon arrival by Gen. B.A. Baldi. Received by the Commandant of the Institute, Brigadier General Umberto Baldi, General Tei, before the staff of the Permanent Staff and the Frequenters, retraced, with visible emotion, the stages of his career that led him to the Air Academy first as a student, as a frequenter of the ‘Drago III’ course, then as a Staff Officer at the ‘Pegaso III’ course, subsequently as Commandant of the ‘Borea IV’ course and finally as Commandant of the State General Staff. “An exciting activity both professionally and personally,” these were the words of General Tei, who described the Air Force’s highest training institute as a “second homeland”. At the end of the visit, General Baldi presented General Tei with a shepherd made by hand by the master artisans of Neapolitan nativity scenes depicting General Tei in a flight suit, which was reciprocated by the Chief of Staff with a stylized representation of the coats of arms of the Aeronautical Academy. Subsequently, the traditional signing of the Honor Roll and the cutting of the tie took place.
