Air Marshal Paolo Rizzo visited the Air Force Marshals School in Viterbo. Upon his arrival, General Rizzo was welcomed by the Commander of the Air Force Marshals School and Viterbo Airport, Colonel Eugenio Rovazzani. The proceedings began with a briefing, during which Colonel Rovazzani presented the General with an overview of the department's current status, covering both its educational and operational/logistics sectors. Subsequently, General Rizzo was escorted to the Leonardo Educational Centre, where he delivered a lecture in the presence of the three courses currently undergoing training and a contingent of permanent staff. The lecture, part of the curriculum for the standard courses for aspiring Marshals, aims to provide attendees with a highly qualified perspective on subjects of utmost interest and importance for their ethical, cultural, and professional development. General Rizzo, starting with a definition, provided a comprehensive explanation of the objectives and preparatory actions for innovation, while nonetheless emphasising the importance of human resources: “At this moment of great complexity, the component that is closest to our hearts is precisely the revaluation of human resources and in revaluing human resources, we are also talking about reviewing the interaction of various roles.”. At the end of the presentation, Colonel Rovazzani, in handing over the Unit's Crest to the speaker, thanked him for his continued support of the Institute, recalling how the General had been one of the most fervent promoters and architects of the Marescialli School's establishment in Viterbo. The conference also provided General Rizzo with an opportunity to visit the Unit, in particular the Leonardo Multimedia Teaching Centre, the integrated mess hall, the shooting range, and one of the three student residences. For General Rizzo, the Tuscia Project, which began in the early 2000s with the aim of creating a university-level campus for basic and advanced training of the Armed Force's Non-Commissioned Officers, and of which the Leonardo Teaching Centre is one of the cornerstones, “not only has it grown better than expected, but it has become a hotbed of knowledge and values”.

The day's activities concluded at the Commander's Office with the signing of the Book of Honour.
