The Head of the Infrastructure Service of the Logistics Command has inaugurated a new hangar
Upon his arrival, General Panaro was received by the 4th Wing Commander, Colonel Luca Spuntoni, who, after welcoming him, held a briefing on the organisation and the fundamental role played by the Wing within the context of national Air Defence.
Subsequently, the progress of the infrastructure works currently underway at the Grosseto airport site was illustrated, and the programmes soon to be launched and planned for the future that will involve the 4th Wing were recalled. During his speech, General Panaro highlighted how the synergy consolidated at the Unit between the operational side and the local infrastructure reality is a fundamental element to guarantee works that fully meet the needs of the Authorities, limiting the risks of time extensions and burdensome disputes.
The visit then continued with the traditional ribbon-cutting ceremony for the inauguration of hangar 2, following the completion of extraordinary maintenance work carried out by the 209th S.T.D.I., under the authority of the 2nd A.F. Engineering Department of Ciampino, in the former 4th M.R.P. hangar, to meet the maintenance requirements of the Eurofighter aircraft.
